"Everyone who has rallied to get me on this list I love you all. To have a black trans woman at the top of this list if it’s only for today is so major. Keep voting. Voting is open til April 22.” — Laverne Cox via Facebook

Click here to cast your vote in the TIME100 Reader Poll.

I normally don’t promote this kind of shit but having a tran woman of color on that list (and at the top of it! ) would be such an important and amazing thing. Please consider voting for her if you already haven’t

Remember, you can vote more than once!
Laverne slipped to #2. let’s get her back on top!

I love how people do these Godric family sets and headcanons yet conveniently leave out Tara. Hmm…

I’m having a crisis right now. Ole dude is about to come over and I can’t get my life together right now. It’s nothing formal or fancy. I just cooked him some dinner and we’re going to watch zombie movies.

So wtf do I wear? I have on workout pants (for maximum booty teasing) and my D.A.R.E sweatshirt (since he doesn’t like alcohol). Is that too informal? Should I wear makeup? Should I do my eyebrows? Do I need to straighten my hair from its natural waves? Do I need a bra? HALP!

Natural Hair || How I Trim My Hair In 20 Minutes

"Today I will be showing you how I trim my curly hair. This technique is similar to my last trimming video. The only difference is that I twist my hair before I trim it so that I can have more control over the area that I trim.

There are so many ways to trim your natural curly hair. You can flat iron, trim it while it is twisted, or blow it out. I prefer this method since it is following the curly girl method and I lose less hair.

I like to trim my hair every 6-8 months. My very first trim was 18 months post bc.

I suggest purchasing scissors that are used for hair only. I purchased my scissors from Wal-Mart in the hair care section.

I ALWAYS trim my hair dry. Doing this will ensure that I do not cut too much off. If you’re uncomfortable trimming your hair yourself I suggest contacting a professional to trim your hair for you :)”

Nia and Imani Lindsay are 10-Year-Old Twin Phenoms in the field of dancing. They started to walk at just 8 months old and now they excel in many different styles of Dance including acrobatics, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary dance. They Both received a Scholarship to the prestigious American Ballet Theatre for a summer program for serious dancers. As Black Children they are defying the odds in field where racism prevalent. Not only are they great dancers but they are very intelligent and have a great sense of self pride and confidence instilled in them by their mother. They Love their natural hair regardless of any of the jokes or questions they receive from their peers or adults about it, they know to ignore it and remain proud.

They look up to Misty Copeland who is one of the most renown Black dancers in the world and in the history of Ballet. Nia and Imani had a chance to meet Misty and said “she was a great influence, She’s not like Miley Cyrus at all.” (Lol) Congrats to Nia and Imani on their accomplishments and im sure they will inspire countless Black kids that ma have ever doubted themselves and their abilities. Sometimes #BlackTwitter gets it right, and other times Black twitter gets it really right

I was down for Pharrell, but he is in sore need of a thorough dragging to rid him of his White-gaze thirst and tacit respectability politics BS. I mean, what’s next, an “Accidental Racist” duet with LL?

Honorable mention to @LouMinoti:

Pharrell needs to come out and clarify this shit before everyone forgets him….Money corrupts some, for real……

Pharrell is a dummy for this shit.

Kill Shot = “if you can’t beat em, serve em”

where is the Tyra gif. “We were rooting for you! We were all rooting for you!”
